Government of Madhya Pradesh is implementing a project "Strengthening Performance Management in Government"(SPMG) with support from Department for International Development (DFID), UK. One of the vital components of the project is Poverty Monitoring and Policy Support for the Improvement in Monitoring and Evaluation Systems. This component is being implemented by Poverty Monitoring and Policy Support Unit Society (PMPSUS) within MP State Planning Commission. PMPSUS has been recognized as force for the State's programme monitoring, research and evaluation to strengthen systems and to support departments in analysis of poverty impacts of programmes. The unit is registered as a society with Vice Chairman of the State Planning Commission as the Chairman of its Governing Board.
